Wages of a Fellow: Corn, Wine and Oil
In this presentation, we will talk about the ritual use of cereal grains, wine, and oil drawn from Biblical passages. We discuss the wages in the context of the fellowcraft degree. We will look at the transmutation of the wages in the 4th, 14th, and 18th degrees of the Ancient and Accepted Rite. We conclude with a workshop making a vial of sacred oil for participants to take home with them.
Biography
Nathan is the Grand Chaplain for the Grand Lodge of Arizona and a Master Ritualist for that jurisdiction. He is a member of Glendale Lodge #23, Scottish Rite Valley of Tucson, Sun City Royal Arch Chapter of York Rite, and Arizona Research Lodge #1. In 2023, he published The Grand Communication: Freemasonry’s Alchemical Quest for Divine Communion with Tria Prima Press. He has been a guest on a number of podcasts discussing different aspects of Masonic symbolism and history and is excited to return as a presenter for the Esotericism in Freemasonry Conference.
